My Current Setup

Specs Shortlist:

CPU: Intel Core i3 6100 3.7 GHz

Storage: 256gb SSD

Memory: 16gb DDR3 RAM (2x8gb)

Virtualization: Yes (2 cores with the i3, 4 logical processors)

For this setup, I did not want to spend a lot of money, but still be able to accomplish the tasks I wanted to get done. I bought this PC strictly for virtualization, and website creation/browsing.

I found this current PC on Facebook Marketplace for $80. You may also check local PC centers,/Microcenters, or even local ads (such as Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, etc.)

I currently have a 2015 model of the Dell OptiPlex 5040 (SFF for desk space savings), equipped with an Intel Core i3 6100 CPU, with a speed of 3.7 GHz (this is the lowest version you can get, i5 and i7 are even faster, but this will do for its purpose.) The i3 comes with 2 cores, with virtualization, so 4 logical processors.

This computer also has 16gb of DDR3 RAM, which should be the minimum amount of RAM needed for virtualization. The more RAM you have, the more virtual machines you can run at once.

This computer is also equipped with a 256gb SSD. I would've rather had a 512gb SSD, because the more space, the merrier, but it'll do. If needed, I may add another 256gb.

I also had to buy a WiFi adapter (PC already had a WiFi card to make it compatible.) I paid $10 for that from the same guy that sold me the PC.

I already had a monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
